The Art Gallery is delighted to announce that we shall be reopening with an exhibition entitled “Back to Nature”. This nature theme was chosen as for the last one and a half year, majority of us were undergoing various lockdowns and adjustment in life due to the Covid-19 pandemic. During this period, many have picked up activities that are nature-related such as adopting pets, appreciating nature and realising the damage done by mankind, gardening, hiking, and so forth.
This exhibition features 28 artworks of various medium (such as batik, oil on canvas, resin mixed media, watercolour on paper), produced by ten artists’ expression and inspiration that they had during this pandemic. The ten artists are Alex Leong (Penang), Alice Loo (Perak), Da Niu (Kedah), Ho Chung Kwang (Penang), Koay Sheng Tat (Penang), Lee Eng Beng (Penang), Lim Anuar (Kuala Lumpur), Lim Jee Yuen (Kuala Lumpur), Thanesh Kichi (Selangor) and Vincent Phang (Penang).
