Renowned for his nostalgic watercolours and intricate panoramic scenes, Alex’s works often draw from his childhood memories. His ability to create detailed compositions on both paper and canvas has earned him recognition in the art world, with this new exhibition serving as a continuation of his previous solo show that featured twelve distinct series of artworks.
In this exhibition, Alex revisits some of his most beloved works while introducing new pieces that expand beyond Penang to include regional scenes from across Malaysia. This broader focus highlights the country’s rich cultural heritage, offering a fresh perspective to both returning and new audiences. The collection features twelve unique series, each capturing different aspects of life and culture, including themes such as After School, Baba Nyonya Weddings, Childhood Games, Harmony Street, and Traditional Trades.
