Jansen Chow’s 19th solo exhibition “City Impressions” showcases 28 paintings of which 25 of them are of George Town scenes from 2015 to 2020. During this period of time, Jansen and his wife has been visiting George Town regularly and they grew fond of the city. To Jansen, George Town is a special place. The city has vibrant street scenes, breathtaking mountains and sea sceneries which make him happy. For someone who enjoys travelling and absorbing the environment in his own time, he said that George Town is just ideal. “My works comes from a feeling of excitement; they’re happy thoughts of places I visited, this sense of liveliness and how streets and building and people become so animated at every hour of the day and night.”
